Stacy Quarty launched her popular web site, FranklyPregnant.com shortly after completing the journal of her last pregnancy, looking to connect with the maternal community. With a frank and friendly, no-holds-barred attitude, the site delivers a bounty of pregnancy information including a comprehensive searchable archive of over 1,000 pregnancy questions and answers. The site has gotten over 150,000 hits a day and still continues to grow like an expecting, maternal belly. The site's popularity has called attention to Stacy's journal, now titled, Frankly Pregnant: A Candid Week-by-Week Guide to the Unexpected Joys, Raging Hormones, and Common Experiences of Pregnancy, which is currently being published by St. Martin's Griffin. The book gives a weekly, real-life account of Stacy's last pregnancy. She frankly discusses: the symptoms of the week (moles, skin tags and third nipples); experiences of girlfriends; and anecdotes on subjects ranging from C-sections to cannoli cravings. With warmth, humor, no shame, and the help of Dr. Miriam Greene who practices obstetrics and gynecology in Manhattan and served as a medical consultant and actress on HBO's Sex & the City, Frankly Pregnant takes the myth and mystery out of pregnancy and tells it like it is.
